Endangered, close to home

How to read this

CR critically endangered, EN endangered, VU vulnerable: the three "threatened" categories of the IUCN Red List. A species is in a drawer because someone recorded it in Maluku or Maluku Utara and shared the record through GBIF; the dots are those records, so a drawer tells you where people looked as much as where the animal lives. Some names on the list have not been assessed for years, and the list has no drawer for what nobody has recorded.

CITES I means international commercial trade in wild specimens is prohibited, II that it needs permits, III that one country asked for help controlling it. From the CITES Species+ database; a card without a CITES mark is not listed.
